Our Breeders

PRECIOUS PET COTTAGE is different from all the rest when selecting breeders for our most important customers, YOU - We pride ourselves in dealing directly with the breeders...We do not use Brokers nor do we send someone else out to make our puppy decisions...we do it all ourselves....All of our breeders have a history with us, we have been dealing with them for over 10 years, knowing their breeding lines, knowing the care they give and being able to identify their pups from other breeders, makes us feel confident that our special customers will be getting a happy, healthy companion for life.

Our Breeders are a select group of kennels that were personally visited by the owner of Precious Pet Cottage.  These breeders are professional, some of them show through various registries, such as AKC, APRI and ACA.  Some of them are retired show breeders and continue breeding for the love of their breed.

Each kennel is USDA licensed and State Licensed as well. The staff of Precious Pet Cottage does regular USDA checks to make sure each of our breeders pass inspections and are aware of any violations or problems that may arise during an inspection. We deal with breeders from Arkansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Kansas and Oklahoma.  This may seem like a wide spread of breeders, but it really isn't.  They live in a close area and we all meet up annually for continuing education programs offered by top Veternarians, such asDr. Robert Page- the maker of Neopar, www.neotechvaccines.com a proven Parvo Vaccine that actually prevents the parvo virus in puppies.  Dr. Bob Miller,http://www.animalwellness.net a holistic veternarian who created our Chinese Herbal formula that we use in our store to build up the immune system in our little puppies and guards them against stress related illnesses such as Upper Respiratory and stomach viruses.

Each puppy you receive from us comes with complete breeder contact information. 

So, to sum it all up...the staff of Precious Pet Cottage takes GREAT PRIDE in offering you a lifetime of companionship through what we feel are some of the best breeders around.

PET TRAVEL TO OUR STORE IS SAFE AND GENTLE.  Pups are delivered to our store by way of Pet Ex2 - a professionally owned pet transportation company located in Neosha Missouri.  Each breeder delivers their pups directly to Pet Ex where they are placed in the vehicle that is heated and air condition with a temperature controlled environment and professional air purification system.  Each breeders pup is placed in a safe, roomy kennel with a sibling or pet of equal size.  They are given toys, blankets, food and water to keep down the stress of driving.  There are two people in each vehicle that rotate driving and caring for the pups.  Each driver is thoroughly trained as a vet technician and all necessary supplies are on board the vehicle should a problem arise.  Many stops are done to keep the pups feed, watered and cleaned throughout the trip...not to mention a few hugs here and there to ensure them things are OKAY.

Other means of transportation to our store is via Air transportation.  We use American Airlines, Delta or air flight that is convenient to our breeders locations, air deliver is strictly dependent on weather conditions in both locations.
